Description: 

Hydroquinone (C₆H₆O₂) is a white crystalline, phenolic compound with strong reducing properties. It is primarily used as a photographic developer, antioxidant, and polymerization inhibitor. Hydroquinone is also an important intermediate in the synthesis of dyes, antioxidants, and pharmaceuticals. In the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, it is known for its skin-lightening properties (used in controlled formulations). Industrial-grade hydroquinone is valued for its stability, reactivity, and strong reducing action in multiple chemical processes.
